  • I bought a house for cash in another Manchester "bum hole" for £10k about 2 years ago. It's now valued at about £90k. These "bum holes" tend to get lots of EU/government money thrown at them eventually :)

Isn't life too short to live in a bum hole though?

You really would have to pay me 80K to live in one.

The world's a beautiful place. Why spend it in Thurrock, etc?

Did anyone see Kirsty and Phil's programme about the ten best and worst places in the UK?

From memory, 5 places on that list were in their worst 10 list....now there's a hot spot for you:rolleyes:

I know a few of those places, and wouldn't choose to live in any of them

    Oh well, nice try RBS...lol
If it was easy, everyone would do it!

tbh Id buy in a place I wanted to live, not just because I might make a few quid out of it. Each to their own though, I guess money is more important to some people than others...

    So, "Middlesborough, Teeside" is 2nd.

Well, which is it? Oh yeah, they don't exist.

Middlesbrough exists (Note the spelling) and you could say, but not officially that Teesside exists (Again, note the spelling). Going by the post code, you mean the town centre area TS1, where large areas of it is in the process of being knocked down.

Oh, so that is how it gets on the hotspots list, knock the houses down to push the prices up!!!

Leven's not too bad; it has some pretty nice areas. There are some lovely 1930's Art Deco semi's with roof balconies and sea-views over the golf course on the Lundin Links road.
There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.
