Balance transfer - how long does it take???

Hi guys,

About 5 working days ago I balance transfered an amount from my barclaycard to my new Halifax one. It is already showing up on my Halifax account but not on Barclaycard. Does anyone have any experience of how long it will take? First time i've done BT, don't want anything to go wrong!

I haven't had experiance of this from Barclaycard, but MBNA do stress that it can take up to 14 days (i think). Also take into consideration any weekends and bank holidays.

Halifax took over 2 weeks to transfer for me - it was certainly the longest duration of any card issuer that i've tried. Apparently, they put it down to money laundering rules...

can also depend what time in the day you do it. if you did it after 2pm with some banks. then the next day would be the first working day

BT went thru today, should've just been a bit more patient eh? LOL! :T
