hi,
I have just started renting a house with other people already installed and am wondering whether insurance would be a good idea?
I have a downstairs front bedroom and I have loads of electrical stuff etc and was wondering if anyone has recommendations as to what company I should use etc...
Thanks
Jenny

Getting contents insurance on a shared house will be difficult.
Do you have one room where you (and only you) has access to.
If so some insurance companies will insure you but only if your contents are in that room.0 -
Endsleigh are the only company that I know that do insurance for people in shared accommodation. I think they will insure all your stuff in your property not just in your one locked room but I keep all my valuables in my room anyway. Not that I distrust my flatmate of course, it's just better security.Indecision is the key to flexibility

hi,
Yeh, all my stuff is in my room and my room has a lock on it...
I'm not worried particularly about my flatmates as they are all working etc and are far too busy too be bringing back huge groups of friends etc so no probs there. I'm worried about being burglared as its a bit of a rough area.
