2 compliance checks now...........

i havent received any WFTC since the begin of march when i phoned them to say that me and dh had split up.
after lots of phoning them and them telling me that it was in processing i received a letter on thursday asking me for my wage slips for the last 3 months and my details of my wage for last year.

i havent worked since 2002, they know this as have clamied WFTC and always stated i dont work.

i phoned the compliance dept up and asked them why its took them 7 weeks to ask me for wage slips when its on my history that ihavent worked since 2002, the lady said she couldnt understand it, i also asked why it has taken them this long to get in touch and leave me with no WFTC for 7 weeks, again she said she didnt know and i have to ring back on 6th of may cos the person who is dealing with my claim is on holiday.

SURELY someone could sort this out for me before then, ive been waiting weeks, i have 2 severely disabled children, am a full time carer and dh doesnt work, we are on income support and getting pretty desperate.

she also informed me that its not WFTC who are sending the compliance officer round to visit me this weds, that has come from job centre plus, so maybe someone has phoned them up to report something, but im not worred about that cos i have nothing to hide.

Sorry, if you are on Income Support I am confused as to why/how you are claiming WFTC as this is for Working Families which is why it's called Working Families Tax Credit. Sorry if I have misunderstood something.

Also with two children who are severely disabled, could your DH who isn't working not claim carers allowance for one of them?
One day I might be more organised...........

Do you mean CTC? How did the person at TCO know that the compliance visit was being made by DWP? I didn't think they would have access to this info?

sorry should have made it clearer, yes i mean child tax credit.

me and dh split up for a month and then got back together.

now i realise that this would have slowed things down but the fact that its taken them all this time to send me a letter and the letter is asking for wage slips from me is confusing, ive been ringing and ringing the help line and asking them did they need any more info, they told me 3 times that they would send a letter out to me letting me know what has happened and i only received it on thursday.

the tax credits didnt inform me that the compliance officer was coming from job centre plus, i asked the tax credits were they sending a compliance officer round because of the letter they (one from tax credits not job centre plus) had sent me and she said no.
