Ulster Visa Credit Card

Hello, has anybody out there applied for an Ulster Visa Card, the reason I ask is when I went on and applied for the card I went on to submit the application and a few seconds later they said they have approved me for a £500 Visa Credit card, then went on to the next page and they said they will be in touch within 10 days as they need to do some checks, then after that they offered me a loan and or savings account as well, does that mean that I have been accepted or could they knock me back for the card?
Thank you in advance for any help.

Well maybe, but if an underwriter look at my credit files I think they will change their mind.

Has anyone else applied online for this card, if so can you recall what they said when they gave you a decision?

I applied for the card last year but there was no online facility then - it was the good old paper application. I was turned down but appealed with 3 months bank statements and was successful with a £500 limit.

Just wondering if Ulster are part of NatWest? Maybe they have scored you but then do a final check with a CRA?
For instance, my hubby applied for a Barclay's current account online, it then said ''From information from Equifax please confirm which credit card you have and balance, it gave about 4 choices? Yet, he still had to submit the application and they'll let him know their decision! Banks and establishments have me confused:confused:
let us know how you go.

Ulster is owned by RBS who also own NatWest.

I think like all things it is subject to further checks. I applied for a Cap One card and a letter came through saying I had been approved. I duly signed, sealed and returned only to find out they rejected me.

So they must score you on your application first then check the data on your credit files, if there is something on the file then pass it for referral, most other banks just say yes or no. They first tell me they will offer me a £500 VISA, then say that they are not sure anymore on the next page of the application, strange.

PROLIANT...I've proffered a couple of possibilities on the other website where you asked the same question. Have you seen them?
