Another bump since there are still thousands of people calling up to renew without even realising that you don't just call to say "I want to renew" and expect that to be all that's asked!!
Some people drive me nuts. Of course we are going to ask how much you earned last year, what do you think the point was in making everyone complete an annual renewal declaration!?
Sorry, little rant over.0 -
Sub sorry if we driving you all mad.I have updated my salary with tax credits via phone as you suggested as I knew my salary had increased as had my final payslip for March 08.
Can you help me with how much childcare help I will be allowed for the coming year?
I have earned taxable pay £32,600,have 3 children.2 oldest in full time education,my youngest in childcare,he is 2.9 months. My childcare bill £250 pw for last year and £280 pw for last ten weeks.I have not updated new childcare amount as I exceed what the allowance is,was that the right thing to do?Plus is using 2 separate registered childcare providers ok?I use a day nursery and childminder.Do tax credits allow you to use 2 childcare providers? As in you are allowed costs with both?Plus I had informed them last year,in Oct 07 I was going to use salary sacrifice with my employees with childcare costs,as they are so high and wanted relief on the excess amount of costs I pay.I commenced the vouchers with Accor in Dec 07,I work full time,so am allowed £243 PM,the man on phone last week when I basically re iterated all my details again for renewal, seemed unsure I had done right thing.I did check with Accor, employees, tax credits and childminder before I entered agreement last Oct 07,and informed I would be financially better off,and it would not affect my tax credits.Know I am worrying I have done right thing,as I am penalising some of my pension to do accor vouchers,so if I have done anything wrong and if you think I am worse off,can you tell me please,as I would go back to paying full pension again I think.
How much am I going to be entitled to this year with salary and details, sorry if that is a bit long winded.Thank you.0 -

Can you give me some help please. I am a new claimant to WTC which I was in receipt from since February this year. I had spoken on a few occasions and had a recent form which told me what my payments would be for 2008/2009 year. I had a query and had told them what my salary was as they had underestimated it, and it was after that I was sent the award notice saying what my monthly payments would be.
Because of the couple calls I had payments generated as I understand from calling them/you, that when you do that, it generates a payment. So the latest award notice I had said that I would receive X amount up until 2 May, then X on the 2nd May and then X every 4 weeks after that.
I was shocked to just check my bank tonight and there is a payment going in tomorrow for over £100 less !! which I cant manage on as was relying on the higher amount which I had been told I was having for the whole of the year.
Question then is, is it because I have now sent the renewal form in that has caused yet another generation of a payment ? And if so ? does that mean my amounts will be different for the whole of the year now ? The figure I put on the form was the same as I told the person on the phone so I dont see why the amount is different ?
Can you advise please ?0 -
BUMP - 6 weeks tomorrow is the Renewal deadline.
If you havent received your Annual Renewal yet you should call up to find out if it has been issued - the vast majority have gone out so it should be received by now.
It possibly has gone out but the postie didnt fancy carrying hundreds of them about so they "got lost in the post". (*Note to posties - this may not happen with all of you but it has happened a couple of times near where I live)0
