Kwikfit have featured at least twice on BBC's watchdog and I know in the past they have been taken to court for unfairly suggesting work needs doing when it doesn't.
One of the features on watchdog showed a customer who payed gor all new suspension only for it to fail the MOT because the shockers they had fitted were second hand! Don't trust 'em

I know of a tale of a gas fitter that had 4 new shockers fitted to his ford focus at considerable cost, only to be told that 2 months later when he called in for a puncture repair, he was told by the fitter that his shock absorbers were in poor condition and needed replacing!(a common practice)
Needless to say he told them to continue (which they seemed very pleased about) and continued to dismantle the vehicle.
It was only after about 10 minutes when they presented him with the payment quote, that he informed them that he had no intention of paying, as the shock absorbers were still under warranty!
A mad panic ensued and miraculously, the shock absorbers were found to be in fine condition after all!!!!
Needless to say he used a few harsh words and vowed never to use Kwik fit again..........
Be warned as they operate a bonus scheme for the extra work the fitter generates, whether it's needed or not!!!!!

yep the same happened to me new disc, new brake pads, your not the only one. wount be going back there again in a hurry.
