in Credit cards
Hi,
I'm am at a loss as to what to do. I have a Cap1 credit card with a £1300.00 balance and the purchase interest is killing me. This months it was £25+ and to make matters worse, I forgot to pay my April payment due to a family bereavement and incurred a further £12.00 charge. I'd love to transfer my balance to a 0% interest card as I know I could pay it off in 12 months if I wasn't being hit with the interest, but I've been turned down by a couple of cards already due to my low earnings - currently, I can only work part time as I have a 12 yr old (this will hopefully change in the next 12 months when she settles into secondary school more).
So, I'm not sure what to do. I have approached my bank - Abbey - but they say that since my earnings are so low, I would only get a card with a limit of around £300.00 for twelve months, by which time the 0% BT offer will have expired.
I am no longer spending on the Cap1 card, have not done so for about 6 months and will not do so again.
Can anyone offer any advice, please? I am unsure what to do.
Thank you very much for any advice.

What you are saying makes no sense!
If £25 interest is killing you how do you intend to pay the capital off in 12 months which will need at least £120 per month?
The alternative is to take the Abbey offer and balance up to 95% of available limit to reduce your interest.0
