Hi
I used the following whilst looking for an exchange:
https://www.cche.co.uk
https://www.exchangeyourhome.co.uk
https://www.homes.org.uk.
In my opinion the exchange your home one is the best. I've not had any luck yet, but the people are friendly and there are some out there that have founds moves. There are a number of places you can post on this website, including the area where you live, how many bedrooms you need, where you want to go and so on.
I have also posted information on the area where I live, that can be found in members area. This is helpful for those looking to move into a new area.
Best piece of advice I can give you, is to write down everything about your home, in as much detail as possible. Posting photos is a great idea. Be open and honest about the areas you will consider. Reply to every post, even if it just thanks, but no thanks!
Good luck.

i had my house on https://www.cche.co.uk and recently got an exchange after waiting 5 years. this is a free website to advertise your property and you pay to upgrade for other benefits (chatroom etc). i was registered on another site but you have to pay for the details of the houses you wish to read about and the contacts details....spanky xx
