Cancelling Lottery subscription

I just tried to cancel my monthly subscription to the lottery via their website. It told me I couldn't cos I'm subscribed till Jan 09.
Now - I can't remember now whether I got a choice about that when I signed up or not BUT I pay in advance every month & you don't get any kind of discount for paying like this - so I don't owe them money; I've paid up until end of May already
So I've cancelled my Direct Debit through my bank. I've sent an email to my bank telling them I've done this - and any attempt by camelot to take funds from my debit card (as they have those details & I can't erase them) is not authorised by myself. And I've sent an email to the lottery/camelot explaining all the above, and that they should stop entering me into draws after end of May, as I do not wish to continue, and I will not be paying for it.
Have I done anthing wrong (legally)?

Not got much to do with DIY??
Thread needs moving!
How long did you sign up for? How much do you pay each month, could reduce to one draw a week, i.e. £4 a month for the remainder of the term.0 -
Apologies - do you know where I can move itto? I couldn't see a relevant area...
I pay £8-£10 a month (depending how many draws there are) and no you can't decrease it.
I didn't realise I was "signing up" to anything... as it doesn't involve any kind of discount (I pay the same as if I walk into a shop every time) - so they're not out of pocket0 -
