Laptop Memeory Help!

I want to upgrade my laptop memory and have choice between
333MHz and 266MHz
PC2100 and PC2700
otherwise they have same specification!

On the crucial site ,333Mhz &PC2700 seems specific to my system but how important they are?

MHz is a measurement of the speed the memory can work at, it is usually possible to put fast memory in an old computer, it will just run then memory (RAM) slower, the other way round (slow RAM in a newer pc) is never to be advised, the machines BIOS may not be set up for it, and performance would, at best, suffer,so yes, it does matter, and you do need the 333MHz

It probably means that Crucial don't actually have any PC 2100 in stock, so they point you towards PC2700.

    Anyway, it's probably cheaper here(PC 2100). For PC2700; here.

That is 13.98 delivered for a 512MB stick. For 1GB sticks, you'll have to fork out 33.49 per stick with includes delivery.
