is it a convertible? If so have a look at Autoglyms range for vinyl cleaner which cleans and seals convertible roofs. You'd need to check that it's compatible with whatever material it's made of. It's also good for waterproofing your gloves if you're a biker and makes them smell nice.0

Yes it is a convertable! and the hood is made from a canvas sort of fabric, the mould and/or algae is not too bad, but I just don't want it to get a hold,Make it happen (old signature)

I'll second the Autoglym suggestion. It's not cheap, but it's effective. There's a Fabric Roof Cleaner kit - cleaner plus sponge-thingy. And then, to prevent future problems, a Fabric Roof Protector.
They stock it in Halfords and good car dealers. A Merc dealer will almost certainly have the fulll range. Or use the search facility on the Autoglym website here.
You need the Cleaner first and then the Protector. JFDI

I find the best product is 303 range of cleaners and protectants and use them on my soft top.

BMW do a special convertible hood cleaner which is excellent. Like the Autoglym, it isn't cheap (don't know how their prices / efficiencies compare) but cheaper than a new hood......
