Capital One CC - Please Rate

My partner is looking to transfer her balance to a Capital One card which is advertsing a rate of 12.9%APR and 0% on balance transfers and purchases till May 2009. Seems very good deal, but I have a feeling there are some catches.
Would be good to get some peoples views on the company. Is it also true that you can't pay online any amount you want you have to set up a direct debit?
Cheers

I stoozed with Capital One last year and never had any problems with them. You do have to set up a direct debit though (can't pay on line). But everything was fine.
I'll definitely use them again.

The catch is normally a 3-5% balance transfer handling fee. Apart from that they should agree to what they are offering. They (and all other card issuers) have the right to change condition at any time though.0

Capital One are very picky, especially on their better products. For example, for the Platinum card does she meet their definition of an "excellent credit rating"?...
- I have a credit card with a credit limit of at least £5000
- I have had a credit card(s) for at least 5 years
- I have never missed more than 2 payments on a credit card or loan
- I have credit card balances of less than £10,000
- I don't have any previous credit defaults (CCJs, current arrears)

Like Yorky Boy (lmao!) said they are a picky bunch! You might be better off with another provider if your not die perfect!0
