laptop no show - can i complain?

hi,
Basically my Dell laptop didnt arrive today. rang cust services & they apologised but said it had been sent to the wrong depot! I know its not dells fault but i did take a day off unpaind leave to be here today so i am out of pocket & missing my laptop too! On the plus side they said it SHOULD be delivered tomorrow. Wondered if anyone on here has experienced something similar. Just annoyed i lost days pay really & was going to call dell again but thought its most likely the couriers fault, so felt guilty i was blaming the wrong people. However i paid a far amount of money & expect good service from Dell as i have in the past. any advice would be good. thanx.

To be honest Dell will blame the courier and the courier will blame dell. But I really think that a letter of unsatisfaction would be something deffinately worth doing. Even if they do not send you out some discount vouchers etc then at least you will be highlighting a problem within their company thus making the service better for others. If only they would pay you for the day off work!!!!!
From past experience with dell, and i have had a lot, i have been able to have mine and others computers delivered to work. It did take a phone call to their custermor support to sort this out though
At least you will get it tomorrow!!!!!

thanx dolby. i will wait until i get home tomorrow from work & see if the laptop has turned up before deciding whether to complain. perhaps the annoyance i feel at the moment will go away by tomorrow - then again when my colleagues ask if i am happy with my new laptop - the red mist may decend!0
