Hi does anyone have any ideas for a campsite in england?
It has to be reasonably priced and within walking distance of a beach and some attractions with public transport links too.
Local zoo's would be good as my kids are animal mad! a local bar resturant also would be an advantage (adult time needed even on holiday, lol!)
Were planning on taking the kids but we don't drive were ok for a lift there and back but dont want to just be stuck on the site for the whole week.
any idea's would be great thanks.

How about Dawlish Warren in south Devon? There is a station there and trains to Torquay (with a zoo) in one direction and Exeter in the other. I don't know anything about the sites there - maybe others can help.

we go to Eweleaze farm in Weymouth It is near weymouth bay pretty basic camping but lovely views right on cliff top with access to pebbly beach direct but sandy beach 15 min walk over fields down to arcades and bus stops and shops etc. Sealife centre and pirate golf near by. Camp site very very cheap we paid about 60 quid for the week last time. and you get a discount if you don't take a car. farmer only opens field for one month though in august.
solar showers and tent toilets as he is into recycling but also some normal loos and showers too for the faint hearted!! If you want a cheap basic site set in lovely countryside with good views of Sea and Weymouth then with good weather will be fun.

Hi - we live very near the Church Farm Holiday Village in Pagham, nr Bognor Regis. The site itself is one of the best we have ever seen, including all the ones we've been to in France etc. and there is loads to do on site itself. There are some lovely country pubs serving food within walking distance, also several takeaways. The beach is about 5-10 mins walk and there is also Pagham harbour nearby too.
There is a bus stop just outside the site - you can easily get to Bognor or Chichester and then catch a coach/train for going further afield.
I know that Haven include this site on their website and there are also some mobile home owners who advertise independently so you might try a general google search, or even via Friday Ad, Loot etc.
Have fun!

there's a camp site on east side of Brighton (top end of East Brighton Park, BN2 postcode I think.. off Wilson Avenue, which runs down to the big Marina. You can walk to beach from there, or get buses into town.
as for a zoo, there is the lovely whitehawk chav estate opposite... lolLong time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)0
