Using vouchers/coupons in Asda?

    My usual Asda takes coupons without you buying the item (apart from a couple of stubborn cashiers who don't, and nothing on earth will persuade them otherwise!)

    When I'm shopping at a different branch of Asda or Tesco from my usual one, I stop off at Customer Services on my way in. Just to see how the land lies... I ask the member of staff there what their policy is, and make sure I catch the name on their badge. Then later if the cashier is unsure, I just say well Sheila on Customer Services said it's fine, etc. That works well most of the time.
