try to google the number if you have it, then call BT or whoever and speak to the nusience caller dept, lastly is your number on the TPS database?

you put your number on there database and then people should'nt call you trying to sell you stuff.

it maybe just be some nutter with too much time on there hands, call BT, make a note of the times & dates of the calls

  • Sure its not just someone you know thats got your number and rings it by mistake, my old folks are very old and they often do this it drives me mental!!! Short of getting this number blocked, dont know what you can do.

Nothing unusual. They simply just have to not hang up and it keeps the line open. In most cases with me it's people I know who dialled accidentally with their mobile in their pocket etc. The fact you hang up and they're still there when you pick up is the way the system normally works.

I'm not sure either. Obviously won't be indefinite. I'm sure I've had some on for at least 20 minutes or more but I can't see it being more than an hour after you've hung up.
