Downloading avg 8 help

Would really appreciate some help with downloading AVG 8 , started running download on my windows aspire 5051 and had message come up that windows vista is not fully up to date and if i installed AVG 8 without vista patch would experience serious problems with internet accessability and that i should follow respective link to windows vista 32 bit or win.vista 64 bit ,not sure what mine is ,please help this idiot

You will almost definately have Vista 32 Bit, but to be sure, right click computer and select properties. Under the System heading you'll see System type: It will either say 32-Bit operating system or 64-Bit operating system.
