lowells trying to collect an over 6 year debt

    got a letter from red debt confirming that my debt is indeed statute barred and that they will not be attempting to recover any debt for capital one account.i would just like to thank all of the help that this website gave me and also the fantastic letters you helped me write many thanks pete

    Just goes to show how when Lowells / Red are pushed into a corner they have to give in when they know that someone knows the laws about statute barred debts.

    It is a pity that they try it on in the first place when they know full well that they are chancing it.

    Pete, glad you got good news

    Think Lowell/red are turnnig over a new leaf, based on the various posts on here. In the last week, three OPS have now reported decent cave-in responses from them, minus any attempts at emotional blackmail or legal obscurification.

    So Pete, make sure that you tell folk as you can bet that for every person who gets help on here, there are a few who did not know where to look.

    i am m8 this site is the best on the net by far now all i got to do is wait and see if i can reclaim my bank charges but thats another thread lol
