Abbey Super ISA

Options
This seems to be offering 10%AER provided you put in the same amount or more into the Guaranteed Growth Plan. Is this as good as it sounds or have I missed something:confused:

    There are 2 objections.

    1) High street banks equity offerings tend to be not great.
Initially I thought that wouldbe OK because even if performance was poor the 10% on the cash would offset lack lustre performance however........

    2) It revert to Direct ISA 2 rates (without bonus) after 13 months.
    I think that's 5.25%.

So, a great rate for a year, then tied in to a proabbly not great equity product for a lot longer.

    So I decided against it.
I'm currently getting 6.25% at Ruffler on cash and they seem to be consistently good.

    LL,

Didn't you post about Rufflerbank before? We now have our ISA money with them and their service is like a breath of fresh air.
In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:

    Quite possibly.
It works out well for me because their paying in account is with Natwest and so am I so I can pay in instantly (well same day) instead of waiting 3-4 days.
This works really well at the end of March.

I think their rate is consistenly good so I'm happy to stick with them rather then keep switching.

Alliance and Leicester do a 10% Isa as long as you have a current account with them iirc.
