Ok, so I can't (and won't pretend to be able to advise you on the exchange rates etc).

BUT, you really shouldn't have over 35 grand in one account, because it's NOT protected. You need to spread your money around the different banks (with different owners). I know it's only 4 months, but is it worth the risk???

Epsilondraconis (thanks for the short and easily remembered name!) posted the link to the info. Use it!!

Well as your questions are basically surrounded by the big exchange rate debate, nobody can honestly give you an answer, even if you pay for one.

The truth of the matter is, in most cases, that the current exchange rate is a reasonable reflection of current conditons, and a reasonable measure of the two relative economies.

Of course that is not always the case, which is why we have floating exchange rates, because this is in many ways the best and most efficient way to account for fluctuations in economic performance.

If you assume that the current 2.5345 rate is a fair reflection and measure of the two economies, then there would need to be a significant structural change in the two economies relative to each other for this to change.

As I said 9 month GBP/NZD is trading at about 610/615 premium to Spot which gives a rate of 2.5960.

That is not a prediction of the exchange rate 9 months down the road, by the way, but is what the rate is worth taking into account the current spot price and the difference between the interest rates for that period of time.
the rate I am am talking about is monetary exchange rate NOT interest rates

For your information the two are inter-dependant , and just as important as each other in any decision on exchange rates.
Is their any actual advice or knowledge on this forum

There is plenty of knowledge on here, my 17 years trading currencies both Spot and Forward to name just a small part, but you shouldn't really expect advice, more like thoughts and ideas.
