Bank account closed but still due some money

Options
My other half closed his bank account a while ago after they had sent him a 'full and final settlement' which he accepted - telling them that as far as he was concerned it was 'in part payment'.

He recently sent a letter to them reminding them of this fact and that when we win the court case he will expect the rest. The money they paid him was paid directly into the account that is now closed. Will they send him a cheque for the rest or what?

He is going to do a letter next week saying they may as well give him the rest now and he will expect a cheque by return of post.

Well!!! you never know - sometimes it pays to be cheeky.:o
I'm stressed enough over this - please don't add to it.

I'm glad he finally said that it was in part payment as I remember your story and he was for giving up altogether.

Certainly worth another letter but tell him to be careful how he words it as the announcement is not entirely a win and you don't want them coming back and saying that. Watch IPTW next week when Martin is covering bank charges from those who have won to those in the process and those who haven't started yet.
