Think a telephone letter is in order. In the meantime, do not answer the security questions when they phone.

You can get one of these cards if you can get nothing else : http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=474254.

And you could do clicks and surveys etc from here http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/protect/make-money

You are entitled to be contacted by yout preferred methoid, which might not be telephone? DCas are required to communicate through your chosen represenative (CAB, CCCS or Payplan).

I would suggest that you read this and if they continue to 'harrass' you, report them to the Trading Standards as they will be acting in direct contravention of the OFT Guidelines for Debt Collection:

    http://www.oft.gov.uk/shared_oft/bus...dit/oft664.pdf

    Back with telephone letter shortly.

    Hi Jo6.

It's just the Old Style Board. I think it's towards the bottom of the list of forums. I think there's a Money Saving Tips board too which is worth a look for money off shopping vouchers etc. Sorry I'm quite new to this place myself so am still finding my way round the different forums/boards. But it doesn't matter where you go there is always a money saving tip to be found.

Hope everyone can get you sorted soon.

Lots of people on this seem to have paid off an awful lot of money quickly. How do you all do it and where do you start if you want to earn extra money of the internet??

Want to get rid of this noose as quick as possible it makes me so depressed. Don't even enjoy my family any more always seem to be worried about the bills

    Must be an easier way?

heree is one of the more experienced Dfwers on the topic http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=609037&highlight=eagerlearner

Also, do you have anything to put on amazon, e-bay or to a car boot sale?
Once you get the tide to turn, it is amazing how fast stuff starts to roll.

pay with the snowball on www.whatsthecost.com, with say three Ccs at 0%, 6& and 29% APR and pay off 3% minimum on each, then do the same but pay £100 extra a month split equally between the cards and finally, do it but pay the minimum on the cheaper cards and put the extra £100 on the card with the highest APR.

    get an idea?

Sorry; there is no "easy way". MOst folk here plough everything they possibly can into paying debts and have made sacrifices to do so. It is a medium to long term thing. However there is a sub board called "Up your income" which gives ideas on mystery shopping etc; on the basis that every little helps!

If any salaries etc are paid into your account which has been frozen then you will need to look at opening a basic bank account (I think RAS has set out the details) asap.

    Keep posting and keep plugging.

    Hi Jo

I guess the fact that we can see people are paying off their debts quickly is an inspiration to us and shows that it is possible.

I have been doing some surveys and have a MutualPoints account but haven't earnt too much off them yet - I think I must be missing something. I look forward to learning with you.

    Best of luck

Just to let you know I have paid little bits to cc owed and rang some about loans. They say cab taking too long to get back to them and sending default notices. Cant reach cab as always answer phone but have sent debt collecters letters to them so hopefully they will sort it. What will happen if cab take too long to get back to them???? Help panicking here!

if you local CAb is slow, would you be better using someone like CCCS, who are rather bigger? They are also offer telephone support until 8pm.
