  • thanks again guys

i think legal cover is a good idea for some circumstance dependant, for instance 2 years ago i lost my job and if i had legal cover i could have taken them to court but unfortunately as i was 1 week short of full year employment i could not take them to a tribunal either

on the other note - i have already accepted the hire car and am now awaiting collection of my vehicle for repair was i wrong to do this prior to consulting a claims handler?

Are they the third party insurers?

They do seem keen to avoid any "ambulance chaser" getting involved.

You can still contact a claims handler - as you have other claims to make. And the extra fuel costs you are experiencing could be sorted by sending this car back and getting one (possibly sourced by the claims handler, which would still be paid for by the third party) like your own car, which would have similar fuel consumption.

No harm in consulting one (or more) claim handler to see what they can do for you.
