    Good morning: I recommend a freephone call to CORGI and a look at the Gas Safety Regulations (1998) Part E, Section 28. I've previously post this link to a major manufacturer in regard to boiler installation requirements in lofts.

    I did call CORGI, and it does need all the things listed here http://www.glow-worm.co.uk/products/homeowner_faq.asp
    I guess that makes it a problem in our loft. :rolleyes:

    The guy who installed mine only 'implied' it was, it does make sense to have one, if there is an emergency and you need rapid access you don't want to be rummaging in the garage for a ladder.

    this is not regulation but simply guidance the key thing when dealing with regs is the word "should" "may" and "must".......
