Dear Friends, I would be grateful if anyone could give me a bit of advice..the company who installed my boiler don't work weekends and I've been without hot water since Friday....The problem is the boiler is not firing up and the pressure reading when off is 1.5 so it should just start but the burner on light and the flame failure light are not lighting up so I don't know what the problem is...I think it is a simple thing as the boiler is only 3 months old...The last time there was a problem it was the pressure and all I did was open the fillerloop valve and released more water into the system but this time I think the reset button needs pressing but I don't know where it's located.....it is a baxi combi 80Eco Any help would be gratefully received.thanks

Hi Shrewdal
Try this website
http://www.baxi.co.uk/products/literature/Baxi_Combi80Eco-Manual.pdf
This pdf file shows operating info & instructions. Hope it helps. Also both the boiler installation & boiler itself are covered for atleast 1 years warranty. The boiler probably 2 years.
Get the original installers back to determine the problem. Having only been in for 3 months you should not be having issues. If an installation issue then they should rectify at their own costs (ie free !!). If a boiler issue and you have to pay the installers then seek compensation from Baxi.
The install falls under the Supply of Goods & Services Act 1982 & the boiler under the Sale of Goods Act 1979.
With either make sure you exercise your rights. If it is an install issue and the plumbers stall then state you will complain to the local Trading Standards and/or make an official complaint to Corgi. (worked for me. My plumber buried pipe straight into a concrete floor without protecting it. The concrete coroded the pipe and I lost plenty of water. He had to dig it up, relay etc all at his cost. Should have installed it right the first time)
Anyway hope this helps.

Hi, This may help someone else if their boiler goes off....It was the safety thermostat that cut out because the system overheated. The engineer had to take off the front cover and the reset button had to be pushed in ,this was found at the safety thermostat..YOU MUST TURN OFF THE ELECTRICAL SUPPLY FIRST OR YOU WILL BE TOAST....0
