Cheapest Hot Air Balloon Ride?

Hey guys,

I wanted to get my partner a Hot Air Balloon ride for his birthday but i know they are pricey.

Just wondered if anyone had any advice as to the cheapest way i could get one, i.e. ebay or perhaps using a discount etc?

I tore out a page of the B'ham metro in the week because it had an advert for half price virgin balloon flights. The flights are £142.50 (which seems quite good to me - I paid about that for a flight in Dubai) and there are 100+ UK launch sites. You also get a goody bag. To book, it says you need to call 0870 444 2768 quoting 'metro balloons'.

Just looked the the virgin website and you can get a weekeday morning flight for a special offer price of £120 if you book before April 30th.....

google it for your local area, contact direct companies. I got one 3 years ago for my DH as a birthday pressie paid £75 in kent. made my own gift pack.

There are hot air balloon deals using Tesco Clubcard points, with Virgin. I think you can only use this with the "Virgin Adventure Balloons Flight Package" which is £71.25 in Clubcard vouchers (£285).

Expensive in real terms, but ideal if you have a stash of Clubcard vouchers!
