hello,
I have a Halifax Current account with a debit card which has 100 pounds overdraft, recently i went 17.18 over my overdraft. This 17.18 just happens to be small items with the largest item being 10 pounds all added together.
Basically im being charged over 340 pounds for 9 items at 35 pound a piece then some other charge on top of that.
(The bank tried this on me a couple of months ago with a smaller sum and i phoned them and they said they'd forget the most recent charge as a good will gesture but they wont do it again and lectured me on keeping on top of my money.)
Im yet to pay all this 340 pound fee as im only a part time worker and student.(And to be honest i earn barely enough to pay travel)
I phoned a help line to try pay this fee off and i said id pay 50 pounds a month and just before hanging up the person just told me hes taking 50 pounds straight out of my savers account i get paid into which i never gave him the details to. Im finding myself in a tight situation over my exams period and barely enough to get by on, also with paying the 28 pounds a month charge for being over my over draft on top of my payments.
I havent got time to chase after them this month with my exams, i feel im being robbed. Am i right?
please help!
Some advice please, should i pay fee or what?
