Colour dect phone

Hi everyone,

a, looking for a new phone or two. Really would like a colour dect, they look really cool. Does anyone have any experience of them. Not sure which ones are good but the BT calypso one looks ok. Does anyone know where to buy them for a decent price? Thanks

i have the bt calypso 120 it has a sms feature, my son has the calypso 1100, my backlight on the phone never goes off onto a standby mode where as i think it wastes battery life the 1100 although does go off, it also has a couple of games on and you have the choice of changing wallpaper (choice of about 3 i think) so if you are not fussy about sms i would go for the 1100 also i bought my sons from misco with no problem

I bought the Calypso 1100 (twin) from Misco a few days ago. Their service as been superb. Prompt acknowledgement of the order and speedy delivery.

The games on the Calypso 1100 are pants and the wallpapers are pretty garish, but that’s (presumably!) not why one would buy this phone.

I’m probably being thick (no change there then…) but does any one know how to enter names into the address book on the phone in upper case? I can’t figure it out, yet if I copy names from my mobile’s SIM into the 1100 they are correctly imported in upper case…….

poldo donk i just had a try with my phone try pressing the letter and keeping it pressed thats how it works on the 120 model

Press the "INT" button and you should get Upper Case. I had to phone BT to ask when I bought my phone!

If you can find a set, the Siemens Gigaset S150 Twin (has an ansaphone) are advertised in Phones4U for £69.99 which is about £50 cheaper than anyone else. Problem is that neither of the stores I have looked at have stock (Milton Keynes, Northampton). These are an excellent phone if you can find a set.
