What do Insurance Companies mean by "Restricted License"?

This may be a stupid question but when getting quotes for car insurance what do they mean by "restricted license"?
When entering details on most of the comparison sites they ask if you have a reportable medical condition & have a drop down box with the options:
No
DVLA Aware - No restrictions
DVLA Aware - 1 year restricted
DVLA Aware - 2 year restricted etc.
I've notified DVLA of my medical condition & they have issued a 1 year medical renewable license, I've been selecting "DVLA Aware - 1 year restricted" but I'm not sure now if this is right & can't find a definative answer.
I have no special conditions, adaptions or restriction codes applied (i.e. 114 - With any special controls required for safe driving or 121 - Restricted to conditions specified in the Secretary of State's notice etc.) my license is only "time restricted".
I'm now confused as to what Insurer's mean by a restricted license?? Should I be selecting "DVLA Aware - No restrictions" as its a time restriction?? "DVLA Aware - 1 year restricted" is limiting the results.

You have done the right thing.
The DVLA issues these restricted licences for various periods, depending on the medical condition.
Although you have to renew it each year, the silver lining is renewals are free.0 -
My friend has had a restriction imposed on her licence due to her diagnosis of MS. She has to be reassessed every 2 years. A restriction is something like "only permitted to drive automatic vehicles due to medical problems";)I am not a complete idiot - some parts are missing;)0
