housing benefit calculation

When applying for housing benefit should you state your earned income as gross or net as my gross wages have increased but I receive less money due to the 10% tax band being stopped?
Thanks

when you apply for hb your local authority should ask you for the original payslips. They need to see your gross amount and your net amount.

Your HB will be calculated on the net income figure but you will need to provide your payslips showing both net and gross as pandaspot above said
