Companies that buy your house for cash

Has anyone had dealings with one of these companies that advertises to buy your house for cash? I have just had a deal fall through 2 days before exchange and now the buyer is offering 3 grand less because "the market is falling". Just wondered if I could get a reasonable price from one of these companies.
Are they any good?

Sorry, know nothing about them but strikes me that if they were any good we would all be doing it!!0

My advice is take the £3k less. Sell and rentback option limited since yestersday - just about to write a post on it.
You will be lucky to 80% of market value now from a cash buyer/sell and rent back firm. The best way to escape a problem is to solve it :j0 -
I think these companies will offer much less than £3k, general consensus seems to be avoid them if you can...0

I would avoid these companies until they are the *only* option - I would accept the three grand less any day.0

I would have to agree ..
to cut a long story short my parents sold their house to one of these companies
(actualy they were robbed ) in their late 70's thought the offer was ok (presumably basing that decision on what they had paid for it over 30 yrs before) and accepted it without talking to anyone first !
They received less than half the market value and there was nothing we could do about it !
If the buyer is offering 3 grand less I would think it's still not bad compared to dealing with these companies that advertises to buy your house for cash? The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane — Marcus Aurelius0
