    Its simple really - Sky are charging a premium to those people who can't be in during the week for example because of work and don't want to take a day's holiday

    Potentially you could try haggling with them.

    I suppose it depends how desparate for business they are.

    SKY will be desperate for your custom, you should be able to get this installed for free.

    Call up their order line and say you need a weekend installation, when they start rattling on about how much say you had been told that they would install for free. No doubt they will deny this, say okay then you will have to think about this and probably won't bother gettig SKY as the monthly fees are already quite high. Usually at this stage you will get put through to another dept, more likely than not a nice elderly sounding Scottish lady who will be very helpful and book the installation for you for free.

    I have done this the last two times I moved. You have to play your face a bit, but they should do it for free after all you will soon be paying them lots of money every month.

    It's £60 for weekends and £30 for weekdays.

    But .. does it need 2 x separate threads to get your head around that?
    If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !
