Another tax credits question

Hi,

Can anyone help please.
I've rung up to renew my tax credits but I'm slightly worried that I have given the wrong figure.
I gave the lady my husbands total income from his job for last year before he became unemployed in January, then went to give her the income details for our income based jsa claim from January to April but she said she doesn't need that, but on the P60 my husband got it says the amount of pay (which I gave the lady) and there is also the total amount for the jsa which is in the taxable box and then that is added to my husband's income he got before becoming unemployed should I have given her the total pay and taxable benefit figure? she said they didn't need the benefit figure as it was income based, but on the P60 is says taxable benefit, I'm confused, please help.
Does this make any sense or have I confused eveyone now:confused: :rotfl:

    Hello vickijh32,

I work for TC helpline and can confirm you have given the correct figure. You do not have to give us the amount you recieved in JSA (Income Based), you only have to tell us about JSA (Contributions Based).

    Hi Vicki,
hotblu is right. If in doubt check with the job centre it was deff JSA(IB) not JSA(CB), otherwise its fine. :-)
