Depends on what scale of conversion you are talking about there are a number of different issues
is there a lot of structual work involved ? if so you may need a structual engineer to see if your idea is feasable
are you planning on project managing the project your self or getting one company to just undertake the whole project start to finish?
one thing i would do is to make sure you get a guarante for any tanking work/plastering of the walls that is undertaken to safeguard the potential of any damp issues that may arise in the future, any reputable company wil do this as standard practice for the system that they use.0 -
hiya,
there isnt much structual work thats needed, mainly the ground needs to be dug up to make the floor level and we need a window fitted. Dampness is already an issue , we cant even store anything down there without it dying!!
We've had one guy come in to have a look and he said "no probs" and we've not heard from him since!!
