Besides I'm not arguing, go to any bodyshop repairs or mobile chippers and they have G compound on their shelves. If you can buy what the proffesionals use... buy it, it's used for a reason, plus its no more expensive than the dreaded T-cut.
I've sprayed for BMW and custom jobs on some seriously pimped motors and bikes, but hey we dont wanna be tit-for-tatWe're all friends offering advice.
Wrong. It is a paint.0 -
Try a drywipe marker (per GordonD) or a cloth with either methylated spirit or sugical spirit on. If that doesn't work, try one dipped in petrol (put your fag out first though lol). Most permanent marker inks submit under an organic solvent attack - and the paint on a car ought to be resistant to it all. You really don't want to be trying to sand it off (ie. T Cut) with an abrasive, however gentle it is.There are 10 types of people in the world, those that understand binary and those that don't
In many cases it helps if you say where you are - someone with local knowledge might be able to give local specifics rather than general advice0 -
Thanks Everyone for your advice. I ended up trying the Metallic T-cut and it seems to have worked without any problems on the paint work (or it appears that way) I tried it on a little area first and used as little as possible. Thanks for the advice on rewaxing afterwards aswell. Here's hoping that they've found something more worthwhile to do.0
