Just ordered one of these - seems like good value for £17.99 including delivery. Anyone already got one?

Top spot! This MP3 player can fit around 1,000 songs on it.

Wow, that's great. I've been looking for a cheap 4GB MP3 player for my teenager who loses everything, for ages. Thanks very much0

The feedback seems ok but there are only a few.
Have ordered it so we will see how good it is when it comes. :T0 -
Ordered one 2 weeks ago and was really not impressed. The display makes it difficult to see what you are playing. The manual that comes with it is about setting the time not how to play the songs. This meant i had repeat on for a week before i worked out how to switch it off. had i seen it in advance i would not have ordered it0

I've only played with it for a while, but all seems well. It's pretty straightforward to use and the sound quality is excellent.
The instructions are fairly basic, however I found them adequate. If you've used a computer before, you'll be fine. The player just shows as another drive in My Computer, so you just drag and drop (or cut and paste) your music onto it. Here's a link to the instructions online: http://www.sosmp3.com/cgi-bin/downloads/playmp3/manual/PLAY%20BLACK%20manual.pdf
OK, so it's not an iPod, but a 4GB iPod costs £100, so I guess you pays your money. :j0 -
How easy is it to select a specific track on this player? My current one, only allows you to move back or forwards until you find the right track, whilst my wifes one is more directory based, so an album and then a track can be selected.
Thanks0 -
I have bought cheap unbranded mp3 players before...they never last, or even work! I have taken many of the cheap ones argos do back and in the end I paid a bit more and got a phillips. If I say something you like....Please hit the thanks button :beer:0

I received one of these this morning.
Unfortunately, the display is slightly corrupted and I can't find any evidence of the shuffle mode described on the play.com page that MSE referred to.

The manual wasn't on the unit, either.
If I can't figure out how to get it to shuffle tracks, it's going back.

Found a manual on the 'net but it doesn't mention shuffle mode.
Eventually found it by pressing the mode button during playback, which isn't entirely intuitive.
I'm still thinking about sending it back because of the corrupted display, and it also doesn't show the track data properly more often than not.
For the money, though, is it worth the hassle?

Ordered one of these and it arrived this morning... Unfortunately its too chunky for the USB to fit in my PC :-(0

Most mp3 players tend to come with a USB extension lead but it looks like this particular one doesn't - I'm sure you'll be able to pick one up for pennies from eBay, or a fellow MSE'r might take pity and send you one for free if they've got one spare lying around.Ordered one of these and it arrived this morning...
