Just got back from my local Asda and picked the Wii console with wii sports, Sonic Riders and WWE Smackdown 2008 for only £179

I'll be trading in the 2 games @ Gamestation for Mario Kart using their trade in price promise by matching cex.
Just need a cheap price for Wii play to get the extra remote.

Just back from trading the 2 games @ Gamestation.
I had noted the trade prices from www.cex.co.uk, which they checked on their pc and got given total credit of £33 which included the extra £1 for beating cex, hence i was very pleased to hand over my shiny £2 coin for a new copy of Mario Kart + Wheel.

So a console, wii sports, & mario kart with wheel cost me £181...Result!

me too - ahhhhh!!! Its so annoying! My local Asda (watford) said they did not have any games in and I called Hatfield and they said that they dont have any wii's!

sorry to hear that guys, i've seen posts of many others who have managed to get this deal.

Have one thought though, if you can obtain a copy of the advert in a paper, why not take it down to currys or comet, or somewhere like that to pricematch? worth a shot.

I thought about that - but dont they only Pricematch when the product is in stock at the sjop they pricematching against? Thanks

That is correct. But i've noticed in pc world and currys they don't always check. Also places like game or gamestation are more likely to match bundles.

My local asda knew nothing about this offer, tried to tell me it was online only - which it is not !!!

As with most retail companies these days, communication seems to be very poor.
All you need to do is pick up the games and ask for the console - the till will take the difference off automatically, like a multi-save discount.
