I've been switching credit cards using 0% balance transfers for four to five years. In the current climate, with reported restrictions on the availability of credit card deals, and the fact I've now been round so many card companies, I'm seriously thinking of switching the bulk of my 4 credit card balances to my Halifax One card, where I have £9,000 of credit available.
My current cards are approaching the end of their 0% deals.
The life of balance rate offered by the Halifax is 6.95%. I know they will charge me 3% for each transfer. I plan to pay it off at £400 a month - I'm currently paying more than £300 a month to meet the minimum payments on my other cards.
What do you think? I'm dreading the day when I can no longer find another 0% balance transfer card, and see this as a way to stop all the running around.

I would go for a life of balance card. I know the rates are now higher, but a 3.9% M&S card paid for itself within a couple of transfers

I'm in same position as you, fed up of hassle of changing cards. Plus one of my 2 0% cards runs out mid August when I;m going to be away in USA halfway through a 3 month work stint. So am debating whether to put it on a low LOB card instead and not worry bout it.

Either I sort a a new 0% before I leave (and end up paying more in BT fees) or hope I have internet access out there to find one in August and sort it all out online which I think will be a hassle.
