Help please - what to do with money?

Hi,
Sorry to be so vague, but I've NEVER had money before - I've always had debts.
I split with my partner and have sold our house. I got around £50k out of it :j however, I have around £25k of debt (which I've written to my creditors asking for Full & Final Settlement figures), so hoping to settle around £15k-£20k - giving me at least £30k left.
What's the best plan to make the most of my money? Is it best to first do an ISA (which one?!) and a savings plan for my DS (again, which one?!) and then put the rest in a savings thing?
I'm totally clueless, and don't want to go to my bank coz I know they'll recommend their products, which aren't going to be the best.
Any info will be well received - thank you.
Jess

I think if you owe "x" and have more than "x" then the full and final settlement will be "x". Why do you think it won't be?0

Thanks, but I wasn't asking for anyone's opinion on that side of things. I have my reasons, but won't go into them on this forum.
I see by your previous posts, you find the worst in everyone.
I will wait for helpful replies thank you.
