Finding out supplier

Moving to a new home and the guy we are buying off is a BTL investor who never lived in the property, and so has no utility bills to give my solicitor to prove who supplies the property.
How can I find out who the electricity supplier is? (No gas at the property).

Go to http://www.energylinx.co.uk/mpan_request.htm
Find out who is the distributor for your area, give them a call and they should be able to tell you at least what the MPAN for your electricity supply is, and hopefully they'll be able to tell you who your provider is.
