fuel shortage scare

Thanks for this information. Mr & Mrs Nile are due to leave sunny:rolleyes: East Yorkshire for our annual trip to the highlands of Scotland next month................and I was worried that we might only make a one way trip!
We would be looking to fill up in Inverness so it's a relief to know that we can risk driving to Scotland for our hols next month.;)
Here on the Isle of Skye (and also up in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis) fuel is delivered by boat so there is no shortages up here.
The BIGGEST problem is the cost, Diesel is now over £1.30 a litre in Stornoway with unleaded here on Skye being about £1.15 a litre.
As others have said, theres ONLy a shortage when people panic buy. If politicians would stop saying not to panic people wouldn't (because who believes a politician!)0
