My local Asda (Ayrshire) were out of unleaded yesterday, and today I was driving past a BP and a guy was putting some signs up, presumably not good news either. :( V annoying.

According to the bbc website, Lothian Busses say that they do not expect to run services after Sunday evening.

Inverness (and some other cities) have their fuel delivered by ship so can just get it in from another refinery anyway, doesn't stop people forming ques at tesco though does it
There's only a fuel shortage because people have bought more fuel than normal this week. If everyone in Scotland went out and bought cheese tomorrow, funnily enough there'd be cheese shortage

Dunkeld Road in Perth had very little fuel yesterday but seemed to all be back to normal today, I filled up on Tuesday which I needed to do anyway, but it cost a damn sight more than it usually does!

My daughter is planning on staying with a friend who is near to her college next week, seems that will be a good idea now!

I got petrol this morning no problem in a BP garage, they were pretty busy though.

Thanks for this information. Mr & Mrs Nile are due to leave sunny:rolleyes: East Yorkshire for our annual trip to the highlands of Scotland next month................and I was worried that we might only make a one way trip!

We would be looking to fill up in Inverness so it's a relief to know that we can risk driving to Scotland for our hols next month.;)

You might need to remortgage though, petrol is as high as 120p and diesel as high as 130p
