We have found another house in the area we like, a three bed semi.
I mentioned this to a friend as she lives a few doors away and she told me it had only been on the market recently. Apparently it was bought in 2002 by a developer (as it used to belong to an elderly lady), it was then sold in February 2007 and again in January of this year!!!
It is now back on the market again, does this sound a bit suspicious, my friend told me that one of those previous owners told her son it was costing them too much money.
What does everyone else think?

To misquote the old quiz show (if) 'the price is right'
Why not go and have a look? Doesn't cost anything. Also if your friend lives nearby she can give you a heads up on the neighbourhood
If the current owners can't afford it then theres scope for some serious price negotiation.0 -
I dont think its suspicious.
When you say it was "sold" in Jan, do you really mean, someone started to buy it and then dropped out?
And if it was costing your friends friends son too much, thats perhaps because he hadnt worked out the budget for running the place?
Go and have a look - and if you like it get the surveyor to do a proper survey.0 -
No it was bought in 2002 sold in 2007 (this was to my friends sons friend)!!!
They sold in January of this year to somebody else and now these people have put it back on the market after only three months.
I do like the area and know it well as I lived there for about 25 years myself. It just seems that to only be in a house three months and put in back on the market again is quite quick.
Maybe it is just my suspicious mind!

Maybe their mortgage is taking too much of their monthly pay and can no longer afford the repayments?
Maybe the people in the house don't want to live together anymore and 3 months has been hell so move on."I'm not from around here, I have my own customs"
For confirmation: No, I'm not a 40 year old woman, I'm a 26 year old bloke!0 -
About a year ago we viewed a rental property and found that is was like new... very strange for a 10 year old flat...
looked at houseprices.co.uk and it had been flipped 6 times since 2001. No-one had ever lived there :O0
