When we do similar transactions with our ING Direct accounts, the direct debit system accepts unlimited amounts as transfers to or from our nominated bank account, as it is driven at their end by having a direct debit instruction in place. I just wished Coventry worked the same way, instead of by BACS.
I agree and I'm surprised that Coventry don't operate the direct debit system since it has to be the easiest method, although they are not alone in this.
I ended up having to send them a cheque when I wanted to deposit £65,000 a while back, and my HSBC current account also 'suffers' from the £10,000 maximum daily electronic payment restriction. All very frustrating!... DaveHappily retired and enjoying my 14th year of leisureI am cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.Bring me sunshine in your smile0 -
