Quick question about the Mac OS X 10.4.11 Dvd player (for UK users)

I live in the UK and I was wondering if the Mac OS X 10.4.11 can play dvds for any region or can be set to play a certain region to be able to play US dvds.
Any help will be great.

You can set whatever region you require, unless you have a region free drive.
It's to do with the hardware - i.e. the actual DVD drive itself, just like on PCs.
You can set the region you normally use and away you go, you can change the region, but only a finite number of times (not sure how many exactly), but it's usually only 3-5 times, and after that it locks to the last setting.
With a DVD in the computer, open DVD Player, Choose File > Get Disc Info and move to the Regions pane. It'll show a map with regions, region of the current DVD disc, current drive, and number of changes remaining for the drive.
