Hi
OH was due to complete on her house sale today but she got a call from the solicitor yesterday who said that the buyers mortgage hadn't come through yet (he is an investor). Now the solicitor is talking of sueing? Surely this is a bit premature if it is just delayed a bit?
Has anyone any experience of a similar situation?
Advice appreciated.

Can sure for costs incurred for not completing and intrest along with daily interest untill completion.
I assume contracts have been exchanged.0 -
Yep, contracts exchanged 4 weeks ago. The buyer stated at the time that they couldn't complete until 24/4 and OH agreed to give him that long to sort his mortgage. The the buyer didnt bother getting the valuers in until last week. Not much surprise his mortgage didnt come through in time, IMO.0

hmm bit strange that the buyers solicitor advised him to exchange contracts without a concrete offer in place.0
