Has anyone ever been to France with Siblu holidays before?
We have booked to drive to their camp in the Domaine de Dugny in the Loire Valley and it was reasonable compared to some of the other options for camping in France. It's a type of holiday I have not been on before, any tips?

Hi - I've just been looking myself at this campsite! We went to their site in the Vendee (La Bois Dormant, I think) a few years ago and it was a great holiday. I think their own sites are always better but as the Domaine de Dugny is one of their new ones, you may find the facilities just a bit limited compared to their other owned sites.
We always take everything when we go camping - Tennis rackets, Badminton rackets, Table Tennis bats, beach ball etc.although you can usually hire stuff on site. This is because sometimes the equipment is a bit ropey or you can't get it when you want it. It depends how big your car is.
Also, if we're driving to the site in one day, we take food to make our first evening meal - usually a jar of pasta/curry sauce plus some rice/pasta/naan bread. A bottle of wine/beer comes in handy as well plus drinks for the kids. I put some frozen mince in a cool box just before we set off which has defrosted nicely by the time we get to the site. You can stop off, of course, at a large supermarket on your way, or you can use the campsite's own shop (tend to be expensive).
Siblu usually provide you with lots of info in a folder in the mobile home. Or go the reception on your first day and get familiar with what's on offer - kids clubs, local attractions etc. Make sure you have a plan for rainy days! You can often borrow games & books for free as well.
Have a lovely time

Hi, we spent 10 days at Les Charmettes, South West France. Siblu is much better than Haven in the UK - my opinion anyway. We are to a different one at the end of August....can't wait. Our daughter will be 5 then and on our recent trip she absolutely loved it. Have fun!
