I'm sure I used to be able to press a button and the list of my favourites magically organised themselves alphabetically. Or I may have dreamed it:rolleyes: Does anyone know how to do this without having to move each item individually?
Thank you
Thank you

Hi,
if you right click in favs, and then sort by name. With folders closed, it will sort folders, with an open folder, it will sort contents.0 -
I added askdavetaylor's visual instructions to my favourites because I kept forgetting how to sort my favourites

Thank you both so much for your assistance. What would I do without MSE and all its kind members?
I thanked you too soon! I've tried and tried and I can't get the the %@""~ to work.0 -
Don't give up yet. One of the clever techies will be along shortly.
Can I ask what web browser are you using? Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox or something else?
If Internet Explorer is it IE6 or IE7? (to find out click on Help at top of your screen & then "about Internet Explorer")0 -
Thanks frogbottler
It's IE6. By right clicking on something in my favourites, I get a list of jobs, but it only has 'properties' at the bottom and nothing about sorting.0 -
Hi,
try IE7, you can always remove with add/remove in control panel, and go back to IE6.0 -
I would certainly recommend the Google Bookmarks, these organise themselves alphabetical order (within a labelled folder structure) and you can access them from any PC if you log into your Google account. Brilliant!0

i think its a WinXP thing, are you using that?
Either that or the OP isnt trying hard enough.......0 -
Sorry Marrioa, I've been offline all afternoon
I think with IE6 you have to click on the favourites tab on the bar at the top of the screen. The bar that starts with File and ends with Help. Sorry I'm not explaining very well. .
If you click on that tab first and then follow frugalmacdugal's instructions you should be OK . I hope
