Get yourself an insulated lunch box (from Lakeland and lots of other places) and keep your food and drink in there by your desk. And make up some sandwiches with the butter or sandwich filling mixed up with half a container of chilli powder. When you hear the screams of agony, you'll know who the culprit is ! And beetroot sandwiches are an excellent laxative.:rotfl:Do it towards the end of the month when whoever is nicking stuff is running short of money, then you'll most likely find your target. And sprinkle a little yellow turmeric powder on the bread so it stains their fingers too.
  • Hi, my OH had this problem at work with someone using his butter. It's already been mentioned but he wrapped the marg box in a carrier bag and it worked. I think the person using it thought that it was for everyone to use and wrapping it up made it clear that it was someones own butter.

a friend of mine had this problem regards milk in a communal fridge so what she started doing was taking her milk in a bottle that showed the milk as a week or more out of date, she just took it home and rinsed it out when she was finished, funnily enough the person(s) stopped stealing her milk :j

This is something I experience also. Don't know what the answer is though. Its so frustrating, especially if you haven't got any money on you to purchase anything else to eat. I like the electrocution idea personally.

Put some green food colouring in your milk. Then if you see somebody drinking strange coloured tea ......................you'll know who it is.
  • Hiya

this happened to a colleague of my brothers a few years ago. She used to homebake her own bread, cakes etc and obviously her lunches were very tempting. Anyway, one day her lunch box went missing from the fridge but she didn't seem too upset. Two hours later she sent an email round to say that the bread had linseed oil and bran in, the sandwich filling had been dosed with a stool softener and the chocolate cupcake had been made with grated Ex-Lax. She added that she'd be checking staff roster next day to see who hadn't made it in. Brother suggested she should also get in early and swipe all the loo rolls then wait to see who yelled the loudest! She got a telling off from HR (but they were impressed by 100% staff attendance the next day!) but no one ever stole her lunch again!

Alternatively buy a freezer pack and leave your food by your desk. Not as much fun though ................
